Artist: Lorraine Miller. Miller is a recognized South African artist known for her soft, atmospheric landscapes, particularly those depicting the Highveld, Karoo, or rural farm scenes featuring windmills and gum trees.
Medium: Oil on canvas board (or possibly hardboard). The texture visible in the close-up of the signature shows a "pebbled" canvas grain typical of pre-primed boards used by artists of this era.
Dimensions: 54cm x 65cm
Provenance: Private Collection
Frame Condition: Fair to Poor. There is significant "flea-bite" chipping and paint loss along the top and bottom edges of the dark outer frame. The linen liner (the cream-colored fabric part) also shows some spotting/discoloration, which is common for its age.
